A huge bulk of our country’s untapped potential silently resides in the rural areas. Despite being the world’s second largest country with an urban population, 65% of India still lives in rural areas. At Indra Jyothi Foundation, our team aims to improve the untapped potential of the rural sector by bringing about change in various sectors from education to women empowerment, healthcare and environment addressing the specific areas of problems. Our key target areas are  rural child education, women empowerment and rural health management and environment.

Through our programs and initiatives addressing the key issues at the rural segments. We aim to work with underutilized knowledge in villages and rural areas, traditional skills and human resources including women for their own development. Working closely with the local and rural residents, we hope to improve the living conditions and build a self-sufficient and reliant ecosystem right where they live. In a way creating a sustainable society that they can also leave behind for their children, one where the next generation doesn’t have to migrate from. We as a community social workers we strongly believe we can make it possible.
