Indra Jyothi Foundation - About Us - Overview Picture

OUR STORY

The COVID-19 pandemic deeply affected all of our lives and changed our perception of other people’s lives. It aggravated the situation of the rural poor even more with the unprecedented reverse migration. Education of the children from these backward communities had to be paused for lack of digital infrastructure. IJF realized the urgent need for digital and computer literacy for sustainable rural development. Our work aims to address and bridge the gap between the resourceful urban and the resource-scarce rural areas in India.

Headquartered in Chennai, IJF is a legally registered PAN India social work organization established in 2022. We are committed to solving the challenges in rural communities’ growth and development.

Indra Jyothi Foundation (IJF) is an independent, non-profit non-governmental organization dedicated to uplift the rural communities of India. We aim to bring sustainable solutions for rural development in various sectors.

To achieve our objectives, we target growth in every phase of the individual from child education to women empowerment to healthcare and environment. Our holistic approach focuses on seamless governance and grassroots-level intervention.
